Traditionally, in December of each year, OTP Capital sums up the results of the "OTP Invest+" fund activities and announces the period for raising funds for the next year. Despite all the challenges of 2020, the fund showed good returns: investors received from 15% to 17%. “The campaign for attracting new investors was no less successful. There have been many withdrawals from the fund this year. This customer behavior was expected. Many of them had concerns about long-term investments. And the situation with the dollar was ambiguous. However, new borrowings significantly exceeded outflows. However, new investments significantly exceeded outflows. In the period from December 1 to December 24, we managed to replenish the fund with more than 52 million hryvnia of new investments. This allowed the "OTP Invest+" fund to remain among the leaders in terms of assets among other investment funds of the company,” says Svitlana Parandii, head of the marketing and sales department of OTP Capital.

On Thursday, December 24, 2020, the PinUart project was launched, the task of which is “to open the artistic Ukraine to the world”. The proponents of the initiative were the asset management company OTP Capital and the IT company Banza, which set an example and urged their business partners, instead of buying corporate gifts for Christmas and New Year, to take the path of investing in the eternal and channel their funds towards art. The first object for restoration was the work of the painter and graphic artist Jan Baptist van der Meiren “Mediterranean harbor with merchants loading caravan”. The landscape picture has been the property of the museum for almost 100 years, however, due to significant damage, it cannot be included in its permanent exhibition.

Playing games is the best way. It was for that purpose that OTP Capitalism created a game teaching investing. The game explains the essence and mechanics of the stock market. At the same time, players can immerse themselves in the world of investment for an hour and get the full range of feelings and emotions from exciting bidding, and sometimes, from quite unpredictable results. This time we were teaching teenagers to invest for two weeks in a row. The 7th grade students of the KROK lyceum and the students of the Mini Boss International Business School were our players. As before, bidding took place online via mobile devices. Some of the players have played our game before, but in the card version. Thus, this time they were able to compare both options and appreciate our update. The game, as always, was dynamic and emotional. In both games there were different strategies and approaches - there were investors who thoroughly formed their investment portfolios, but there were also speculators. Here are some opinions from our players on the chosen strategies: “At the beginning, the game was a strategy to accumulate options for hurricanes and government records, then, when the hurricane worked, we began to collect all the actions at favourable prices”. “We chose the strategy of buying shares and it worked well”. “We decided to buy more government bonds because we were 100% sure they were likely to bring us money for each period, and then we admitted the dynamic of the change during all past periods”. “We have a strategy to put high prices and find people who do not understand prices and buy”. “Risky, because by taking risks, you can achieve more in compare to not taking it”. As you see, the game does not leave anyone indifferent. What is the most important, the children bring out of the game not only bright emotions, but also a useful wealth of knowledge. In September, OTP Capital together with OTP Bank traditionally offer their clients a compatible "hybrid" financial product – "Podviynyi" deposit. On September 1, 2020, OTP Capital together with OTP Bank held an exciting educational and entertainment event for children dedicated to the Day of Knowledge. The purpose of OTP Capital is to tell about the stock market and to teach children the basics of investing. Such a challenge is a common thing for us. For more than a year, we have been devoting ourselves to educational affairs, actively participating in the education of the younger generation. However, this time everything was different. We taught children in a new format – digital. Right! We have moved our “OTP Capitalism” card game to web format. This project has become a real challenge for us. First, the short deadlines are only 3 weeks to develop, test and launch the game. Secondly, ambitious goals – we needed to create an imitation of a stock exchange, where trading takes place in real time. Third, the burden of responsibility – because we play for children, so everything has to be simple, clear and visual. No doubt – the mission completed. Three weeks – and the beta is ready. After testing, our MVP got a chance for life. The outrageous emotions of the children, the approving and interested comments of the parents who took part in the game are proof of this. It's nice when after the game they come with a request to organize the same game for adults. It's inspiring. It’s motivating and proving that the time to create the game wasn’t wasted. The stock market game "OTP Capitalism" is a kind of simulator that will help you to pump up your investment skills.
